  1. Eric is encouraging people to do animated Banksy. Banksy went way out on a limb to do what he did. I don't know about his parents and home life, but I do know the school he went to. It had an exceptional art dept. Inspiring teachers. Teachers that had the integrity to tear up when reading a pupil's deeply touching poetry. We have fewer and fewer schools like that. Instead we have industrial processing machines. Turning bright, creative, full of adventure and wonder children into rabbits in headlights fearful of the jackbooted teacher telling them what to think, what they should believe and if they don't comply then they can get out and find another school that'll put up with their independent thoughts and creative arguments. This has to be fixed. Stop crushing our children's spirit.

  2. I so agree - and further, I believe we should get all children out of school once they can read, write and do sums to the level that they are able to easily self-direct their learning. Get them out before their confidence is irrevocably shattered. Eric talked about the creativity and problem solving skills of what society thinks of as lower class trades (these people are phenomenal! These people built the world with their 'lowly' talents and skills!) ...they didn't get those skills by sitting still in school being told what to think. Let everyone learn things they find interesting and enjoy watching them all - and our world - flourish. I'm not meaning to diminish your needs at all, Newperson. I know most schools are just about the worst place for neurodivergent people, who are often the most creative kids in the room. It's just that, as a former educator, I know that many/most? schools are not good for a lot of normies too.
