My family on both sides have immigrant forebears. I thoroughly agree that this uncontrolled immigration has to stop. For the good of everyone involved. The majority of the immigrants coming in today won't ever be paying enough taxes etc to recompense the UK for housing/benefits/healthcare etc. Their children might though in 20-25yrs time. Meanwhile, the country goes to the wall supporting these people. (And don't anyone say that all immigrants are able to work here from the get go because they already have qualifications....I could write a thesis on how and why this doesn't happen - it's utterly soul-destroying to see, e.g. as I did an Indian chartered accountant sweeping the bus station in a UK city because the gvt don't accept that qualification and wouldn't loan/pay for him to convert his quals to UK standards. The gvt don't tell you this sort of thing....).

@gillianbarker2663 Tragically, the gvt does know and tacitly supports the culture that Minky talks about. Gvt and NHS are a double act, hand-in-glove.

@Torquemadia Before we start bashing the boomers, let's remember that they were told that their pension contributions were being well-managed, that there would be good pensions when the time came. 10s of millions of Brits have had their pensions frauded and/or mismanaged away from them. Then there's about 4million women who had £many millions of their pension just taken away from them by the gvt with no warning. This pension shortfall mess is nothing to do with ordinary people. It's ALL to do with successive gvts. Just as they are creating a mess with hauling unsuspecting slaves into the country to pay for their fuck-ups. (Yes, I do mean slaves. )

@Cytochrome8 Do you work in the NHS?

@sendadiestra7203 Well, not impossible but the mafiosi culture that's grown and grown in the NHS prohibits genuine reform in the UK's health system. Law unto itself now. Each gvt keeps quiet about it - their quid pro quo is that they can use the NHS as votecatchers every election.

@Torquemadia Why?

@somedandy7694 That's an absolutely excellent presentation and unimpeachably logical. Every household should get a copy of it.

@skhebaa3539 Good grief. I had no idea that the asset stripping was so organised and so deeply entrenched. How many young Botswanans leave/stay in Botswana after education?

@skhebaa3539 Still, those who go overseas and don't come back are the highest achievers that your country (like others which are similarly pillaged) needs to progress. It's good for them to have such opportunities (which actually sound better than those available to many poor young Brits), but all that talent is lost to your country. If that were happening in the UK there would be an outcry. China is full of smart young, well-educated people so I suppose they don't have to retain foreigners. The UK doesn't invest as much , pro rata, in education or health nowadays. It all vexes me, especially that your most able young people are used to fill some of the UK's deficits because of poor policy decisions of UK governments.
