@kaypee4704 Although, with respect, Hashimotos is autoimmune. Unfortunately, the UK medical system doesn't usually look for it. Your thyroxine levels are low, the system doesn't care why, just take the tabs to restore levels to normal.

@kaypee4704 Allopathic medicine exists in its own bubble, it's almost a parallel universe. It started on its own track about 40yrs ago when the drug companies really got going.

@savinghome8160 That would actually be possible if our incomes were not prey to parasitic big food businesses who make £billions out of selling us their dubious confections. Imagine if all that profit went to proper nutritional education and to people themselves so that they could actually afford well produced natural food.

Please, please, please, Drs Rangan and Tim, see if you can work on those who train medical practitioners and get them to teach the primary importance of nutrition. Like many others, I've refused meds and, by experimentation and listening to my body, alleviated e.g. inflammation by an informed and judicious diet (along the lines of that suggested by Tim). I find that all mainstream medical people are utterly ignorant of the role of food/nutrients in ailments and far too reliant on drugs to treat everything.
