Thank goodness. Someone had to say it. He's got lots of words (which he puts together with too many um.um.ums) and makes assumptions about his audience's knowledge (explain 'epistomology'! explain 'critical theory'! explain 'modernity'! Does he even know what these mean? what's a 'positional standpoint'? (sounds tautologous to me) who is 'James Lindsay'? Has he actually studied theology formally? He's a very poor speaker. He can't seem to follow a thread of thought to any conclusion and just smears into the next set of words and um.um.ums. I nearly gave up right at the beginning when he fumbled about with his entry into pastoring...no calling, no vocation, he just kinda slid into it because his dad is a preacher. Not inspiring at all. He sells tapes/videos etc on preaching and worship. He's the last guy I would buy from .

@Tyler_W - Why should I listen to someone who doesn't know key church history? What else doesn't he know?

Some have said that the Potter books are full of Christian analogies. Haven't read them so can't say.

@eternalism8274 - And they're about to hold another round. Unfortunately, the whole rhetoric is couched in the same sort of inaccessible terms that this young man uses.

Which is why I have a sense that he's not actually been to college and done the hard work of studying what he speaks about.
