People whose ancestors were enslaved by American plantation owners invariably have a wide range of DNA from all over sub-Saharan Africa as well as Europe. Harvard professor, Dr Henry Louis Gates has made many studies and tv programmes about Black American ancestry - all fascinating. Also refer to those who put up their DNA results on this platform and other social media.

  4. I wonder also if she was trying to fulfil her fantasy of being a white princess...I don't think she wanted to be associated with being Black, she never had been before. Maybe it even came as a shock that we Brits warmly embraced her as a mixed race person? Because she'd never really identified as such...
