  1. Still prescribed in UK. I'd like to know how many people have died in the OR with deaths passed off as 'natural causes'. I was prescribed this for a bad cough 8 winters ago. Looked it up as I taking the first (and last) dose and was shocked to learn back then it had already been banned in AUS and US. Something to note is that it sets up an enduring allergy reaction. So tell your anaesthetist that you've taken it in the past, if you have, and they should be fully prepared for an adverse reaction. I so trust doctors and all their medicines. Not.
