  2. Elizabeth, i can't understand what you're saying. You're British but can't live in Scotland because the Uk gvt requires you to have £1m to live there?

  3.  @elizabethshaw734  The Scottish government had a repatriation scheme. Maybe it's still going? My Aussie friend (Scottish parents) told me about it a few years back. The gvt offered a great deal of help for people of Scottish heritage (as I am also) to return and resettle - a generous package of e.g. housing and financial help plus other needs. (Knowing about this is why I wanted to understand something of your circumstances). Scotland is a great country with lots to offer and far, far fewer social problems than England, which I wouldn't recommend nowadays for anyone unless they're £billionnaires! In my humble experience of having lived in several countries, moving countries is never an easy project at the best of times. But so worth it!
