  2. I had a "childhood" and "adolescence" that can charitably be defined as "horrific"... Working was my way to overcome it... I worked 40 hours per week while carrying a full-time credit load (1971-1975)... I worked in a steel mill, managing the electrical power for two mills, a coke oven plant, and feeding our excess power back into the local utility grid. ( I worked the 11p-7a shift )... I did that for 4 years... Go to work 11-7, go to class until 3pm, go home, eat, sleep... I studied while I worked, and every available hour... Holidays and Spring break meant more sleeping and study time ! The mill wasn't the place for any type of "man-child"... We were all grown up, serious men ! And I thrived there !
