  2. This is quite similar to the origin of the Salvadorian "Maras" in the North Triangle of Central America. During the mid 80s many people from El Salvador illegally moved to L.A. and in order to be safe from the Mexican gangs they made their own. When they were deported they imported the concept to Central America and now they are one of the biggest problems in the region.
