@gbennett58 Regarding increasing the Earth's albedo, I remember hearing a news story expressing a desire to paint black asphalt roads/highways white. If true, and if every road/highway in North America were somehow made white, then, in terms of numbers, I don't know what degree of measurable net effect this would produce. Also, during the final years of the Obama administration, I remember looking up at the overhead cloud cover (I live in what is referred to as the Southern Tier of NYS) and noticing that, on a regular basis, the cloud cover had an unusual interlaced and/or weaved "wax-y" appearance. At the time, I associated this with rampant conspiracy stories that claimed, out over the Pacific Ocean, along the Washington-California coastline, high-altitude airplanes were intentionally spraying reflective substances into the air, in a crosshatch fashion. According to the conspiracy stories of that time, the idea was to have the dispersed high-altitude substances reflect heat (from the Sun) back out into outer space. Again, I don't know if any of these stories were true, and if they were true, I don't know what measurable net effect such actions would produce.
