On the other hand, "big league" entrepreneurs aren't dummies, and if such entrepreneurs achieved access to Meteor/Asteroid GOLD, then such "non-dummy" entrepreneurs would likely, and artificially, MAKE CERTAIN that the "earth-based" Market Price of Gold DID NOT "go down", even IF Gold were no longer a "rare" commodity. Think of DeBeers, and the manipulation of both the perceived rarity and price of Diamonds.

The trouble with the CIA, and this is especially true during the final year of any Lame Duck president's final term, is that the CIA secretly and unilaterally carries out UNOFFICIAL and UN-vetted FOREIGN POLICY with other countries. Now, the US Constitution forbids any State within the USA to establish treaties with foreign countries. Wouldn't it make sense to either forbid, or at least STRONGLY oversee, any US department's effort to unilaterally and independently establish UN-vetted "foreign policy" measures, measures that are tantamount to a Formal Treaty, with countries outside the USA? Shouldn't a notion, such as I am suggesting, possibly become A CONSTITUTIONAL AMENDMENT? I mean, at the inception of the country, the Founding Fathers of the USA likely never envisioned the eventual establishment of A COVERT intelligence-gathering AGENCY as a formal and integral BRANCH of the overall US federal government. I would go so far as to say that the two men whose ideas strongly influenced the structure of our US federal government, namely Locke and Montesquieu, certainly never envisioned the perceived need to establish a covert "intelligence gathering" agency.

President Trump recently announced the establishment of a NEW initiative to have the USA establish spaced-based satellites that are tasked with remotely SHOOTING DOWN the launch of ICBMs, launched by other countries,... ESPECIALLY if those ICBMs appear to be headed for the USA. If LASERS were employed, within the satellites, for this purpose, then it stands to reason that foreign countries might "plate" the exterior of their ICBMs with GOLD, on account that Gold has a HIGH reflectivity rating. On the other hand, going back to the days of Ronald Reagan's proposed Star Wars initiative, Ronald specifically proposed that lasers be used, and the scientific community immediately responded by saying that it would be more practical, in place of lasers, to use MICROWAVES. Gold, being an excellent Microwave Susceptor, as well as an excellent Electrical Conductor, would probably be A TERRIBLE CHOICE for "metal plating" an ICBM exterior with, in the event that DIRECTED MICROWAVES were used.
