  1. Is space compressible? If space flows into a black hole, does that mean that space is compressed inside of a black hole? Since a unit of space contains distances, does all that space, that flows into a black hole, mean that the INTERIOR distance, across the diameter of a black hole, continually gets longer and longer?

Actually, Derek, my memory might be a little fuzzy, but I think I recall watching a documentary that said that Schwarzschild got a leave from the battlefront, and, as a ridiculous as it might seem, spent his leave attending a lecture given by Einstein, before returning to the battlefront. That is how Schwarzschild found out about Einstein's math conundrum.
