You also have to account for...
• as a photon of starlight travels towards the surface of the Earth, the photon is passing through successive "gravitational zones", in which TIME progresses ever more slowly. You would have to wonder if successive SLOWER TIME zones affect the path of the starlight photon
• at the moment when a photon of starlight, headed for the surface of the Earth, left the surface of a star, the star was moving in an x direction, an orthogonal y direction, and an orthogonal z direction. If the photon of starlight, headed for the surface of the Earth, was moving at the speed of light towards the Earth (call this direction, x ), then what orthogonal y component of motion was imparted to the photon (by the star that the photon was emitted from) and what orthogonal z component of motion was imparted to the photon (also by the star that the photon was emitted from)?
