  1. You could defeat the barnacle by PRE-drilling about 3 strategically located tiny holes in your windshield. Most of the time, you plug the 3 tiny holes. To defeat the barnacle, you pull out the tiny plugs that you put in the 3 pre-drilled holes. Air will now flow through the unplugged holes, making the barnacle release.
