  1. Am I the only person who remembers the Mt. Saint Helens eruption that took place in 1986 ? I was working 3rd shift at the time, in the Summer of 1986, in Binghamton NY. I woke up at around 1pm, looked out at the sky, and immediately thought that I had overslept (...and was late for work.) As I drove to get to work, I kept noting how dark the sky was. When I got to work, I found out that my 3rd shift wouldn't start for another 8 hours. That's when people told me that Mt. Saint Helens had erupted, and spewed SO MUCH black ash into the sky, that even the midday sky over Binghamton NY was blackened, during the middle of a summer day. These days, nobody ever talks about the Mt. Saint Helens eruption of 1986. I always get the feeling that I am the only person on Earth who remembers it.
