  1. At sea level, stand on the equator of the Earth and face North. Find a walkable path, from equator to North Pole, that is always at sea level and doesn't involve getting your feet wet. As you walk towards the North Pole, the drop off (given in miles; measured DOWN from what passed for LEVEL sea level back at the equator) is equal to... 4000(1 - cos(latitude°)) .
