The reason why spacefaring aliens do not come to Earth and conquer/wipe-out us Humans is because, even though we Humans have figured out how to split the atom, we still aren't much smarter than a dog that stares at the Moon, all the while never thinking to inquire as to what the Moon actually is.

  2. Our Sun is going to go supernova. Our Sun is going to strip off its outer layers, while the remaining center becomes a White Dwarf, about the size of our Earth.
