(Or is that too optimistic for Putin to hope for?) Anyways, somebody will have to step-up to be Putin's replacement. I wonder who it will be?

  21.  @kevinmolloy9134  Well, during the last time that the Russian government was power-wise reduced (marked from the time of the dismantling of the Berlin Wall), it was the Russian organized crime element that sort of "stepped up" to take over the daily running of things. Nature hates a vacuum. If the Russian government relinquishes its power over the Russian people, then certainly some other element of Russian society will step-up to fill the void. I mean, Russia is much larger than post-WW2 Germany. It's not like some "convention of countries" will get together to punish and reduce the military of Russia, like unto what was done to Germany at the end of WW2 (or even WW1.) I would be very surprised to see (after Putin is deposed) the Russian people get together to reform their government, so as to create a USA-like constitutional democracy.

  22. Reminds me of how New York State taught math, 1970 through 1983. During the 7th Grade, they would throw 1st Order Differential Equations questions at us, all the while never having taught us even A LICK of Algebra. We were lambs to the slaughter. In fact, all through Junior High School (grades 7 thru 9), every single class was actually just Obedience Training (featuring a lot of disciplinary screaming by the teacher), with just a “dash” of Math (or English; or American History) “flavoring”.
