God bless America? So where are all the Christians out helping their fellow brothers and sisters in Christ?
14
Definitely not other Christians helping people either.
7
The problem is that if it's flooded in these places once it's going to happen again just a matter of when, please do not build back where the river took out your homes.
7
Why would millions of Christian Americans not be there right now helping these people?
6
Praying for the effected? Wow I am sure that's going to help everything. This is how we know what love is: Jesus Christ laid down his life for us. And we ought to lay down our lives for our brothers and sisters. If anyone has material possessions and sees a brother or sister in need but has no pity on them, how can the love of God be in that person? Dear children, let us not love with words or speech but with actions and in truth. - 1 John 3:16-18
5
Pray for the 220 million Christian Americans to come help you and walk their talk.
4
Not just a lack of help from the government where are all the 330 million Christian Americans helping out there fellow brothers and sisters in Christ?

@keldonator So you're admitting that Christian Americans are so unwilling to help your fellow brothers and sisters in Christ you expect foreigners to come and help rebuild these towns...wow.
3
@keldonator You can call me all the names you want, doesn't change the fact that these people have been deserted by their fellow countrymen and brothers and sisters in Christ. I suggest if you want to see the hypocrites just look in the mirror and those who have failed in their duty to Christ.
3
@marcietee3841 That's fantastic Marcie, they have taken their responsibilities to Christ seriously, however there are 220 million Christians in America so why are all these suffering people needing to ask for more volunteers?
2
@virginiawilliams7282 220 million Christian Americans have been there helping?
2
@keldonator Because I live in another country. Why the deflection to me? Do you feel guilt for your lack of help?
2
@keldonator I literally live on the other side of the world and am not an American. Nice try at deflecting from the shameful behaviour of 330 million Christian Americans, I bet you think you can gaslight God too.
2
@keldonator I'm not surprised.
2
@keldonator feel better now
2
@keldonator Yes the person expecting foreigners to help his own countrymen because he can't be assed to do it isn't the hypocrite. Thanks for being the example for everything that is wrong with your country.
2
@keldonator No you literally said you expect foreigners to help your fellow countrymen because you can't be assed to help them yourself.
2

@MichaelBurke-f2p 330 million Christians in America...where are they?
2
@marcietee3841 To start with I'm not an atheist, secondly, there are probably athiests there helping these people while "Christians" sit at home typing "praying for you" on their keyboards.
1
@cmgweb6951 My bad, here's some data from 2024: The US has the largest Christian population in absolute numbers with 230 million Christians, which is 71% of its total population. So my question remains, where are they?
1
@jordancalhoun716 I am not slandering anybody, do you see 220 million Christians down there helping their brothers and sisters in Christ? What good is it, my brothers and sisters, if someone claims to have faith but has no deeds? Can such faith save them? Suppose a brother or a sister is without clothes and daily food. If one of you says to them, “Go in peace; keep warm and well fed,” but does nothing about their physical needs, what good is it? In the same way, faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead. - James 2:14-17
1
@jordancalhoun716 Your responsibility is to emulate Christ in every way possible to the absolute highest degree. Answer me this, if Jesus himself were down there right now helping these people do you think they would have a problem getting Christians to volunteer?
1
@garrywest7737 How is asking where the 330 million Christian Americans are trying to make problems for the people who need the help? If they were true disciples of Christ they should have been there from day one right?
1
They need more than money, they need thousands of volunteers to help them allocate what the money buys, again, where are the 330 million Christians in America? I guess I now know what the Bible means when it says these peoples honor me with their lips but their hearts are far from me.
1
@mderline4412 Many are not helping, 330 million Christians in America and literally a handful are there helping, absolutely shameful.
1
@mderline4412 220 million Christians in America, where are they?
1
@mderline4412 Go look at the statistics there are 330 million CHRISTIANS in the US, so where are they?
1
@nataliethomas1991 I honestly think that in a country with 220 million Christians there should be hundreds of thousands of them there helping their fellow brothers and sisters in Christ. Though all I hear are excuses and justifications for why they're not there. I guess it's not me who you are going to need to convince at the appointed time. I also love how at the end of every reply to me you deflect onto me as though what I am doing has any baring on your own souls. (BTW people can bring their own campers, or don't Christians own them in America?)
1
@kb_9880 If Jesus himself were there right now, do you think hundreds of thousands of Christians would turn up then?
1
@brieziethirteen13 What does it matter to you what I do? If I am lacking then it will be addressed at the appointed time when I stand before my Creator. There are 220 million Christians in America, where are they? I bet if Jesus himself were down there right now nobody would have to beg for help and volunteers.
1
@brieziethirteen13 1000s is pitiful in a country with 220 million Christians, shameful actually.
1
@brieziethirteen13 Have you not been listening to what these people are saying? They said there were lots of volunteers in the beginning but now they've gone and they are pleading for more volunteers and helpers. Again, why do you keep deflecting to me?
1
@brieziethirteen13 It's not surprising that you try to make it about me instead of actually addressing the issue of millions of Christians MIA when it comes to helping their brothers and sisters in Christ.
1
@lkd06 Oh that makes so much difference....unbelievable.
1
@julielefler9747 Yes I am here slamming the 220 million Americans who claim to be disciples of Christ and are nowhere to be seen. It's absolutely shameful and I hope my comments trigger every one of them who read them.
1
@julielefler9747 Donating money is the easiest thing to do, atheists donate money too but you're not an atheist, you're a disciple of Christ, when you took up his cross you dedicated your life to him in service of others. That means not just sending money and typing out that your praying on the internet, that means going and helping your brothers and sisters in Christ. Do you think Jesus would just pray for them and send them money?
1
@julielefler9747 But I'm not making it about me Julie, I'm a making it about the Christian Americans who have deserted Jesus and their responsibility to uphold his commandments. Is that what is triggering you? Because you know I'm right?
1
@Arwm303 What are you talking about??> I haven't attacked anybody's religious beliefs.
1
@southerncross5360 Yeh so don't build back near them.
1
@southerncross5360 If they build back near these rivers it's going to happen again, not rocket science.
1
@keldonator Yes foreigners should be there helping Americans instead of Americans...any excuse to justify your own lack of integrity.
1
@keldonator If anyone has material possessions and sees a brother or sister in need but has no pity on them, how can the love of God be in that person? Dear children, let us not love with words or speech but with actions and in truth. - 1 John 3:16-18
1
@keldonator Whoever oppresses the poor shows contempt for their Maker, but whoever is kind to the needy honors God. - Proverbs 14:31
1
@davidm1149 Plenty of communities pleading for volunteers, you don't need to bring supplies or anything else but yourself.
1
@bellfaith1065 Actually that was directly after the hurricane, how many times do these people have to repeat they need more volunteers.
