  1. It is no as straightforward as this guy is suggesting. The logistics would be immense. It's a completely different system and the spares and repairs takes a whole load of mechanics. The UK alone cannot simply send 300 tanks, they haven't got them, that's why the Leopard 2 is needed as there's 2000 or so of them in Europe alone, plus all the spares amongst several militaries and the factories that can produce the parts. The Ukrainians would rather prefer one extra type of tank to maintain. I'm all for giving them equipment they can use to defeat the enemy. I don't think Challenger 2 is it. Same for Abrams, although there's a lot of them, it's complex and the engine isn't exactly diesel.
