  1.  @whylie74  Nonsense. UK governments have allowed the sale of UK private defence companies to US private equity firms, which then broke them up and sold them on. Cobham and Ultra Electronics were two such around four years ago. Nothing to do with the EU. The UK had left the EU when both firms sold off. Where you get your info from god only knows, but it's false.

  3.  @Blackmafia943  it's used to test equipment before it's tested in a more advanced craft. It also ferries that equipment around.

  4.  @0yko  There used to be more UK-based companies And they are/were succesful and critical to the UK's defence. Parts of BAE Systems could be sold off at the drop of a hat.. and that decision still would have nothing to do with the EU.
