  2. the UK has had management problems for a long time. That and poor govt investment and planning and protection of industries and companies - Cobham recently sold off and broke up. Ultra Electronics too, both in the last couple of years. Defence has been underfunded for 13 years. I doubt many of you can recall what the election of 2010 was fought over in defence terms, and how promises were broken
