It's said he warned Johnson to back Remain and not get allied with "clowns" of Brexit; he obviously wasn't that persuasive. Despite that, he soon after helped lead Johnson's first leadership challenge, from which Johnson later withdrew. He knew the prorogation of parliament was a con. He has spoken out well for the UK needing to fight without the US, when Trump was in his pomp. He criticised the US for leaving us in the lurch with the Afghan pullout. I just hope ppl who've supported Wallace will support the next govt's defence minister when he inevitably gets into a pickle instead of going along party lines - a tall order these days. Wallace has been tainted by his supporting Johnson, that's not something I can forgive.
