[uncharted 1 & 4 spoilers below] im sure wahlberg acted finely and consistently follow the director's direction. i couldn't stand why the writers made sully into an apathetic jerkhead here. even in the end, when sully and nate's bond is formed, they made him still acts like a tough guy. im not saying everything should be like the game, just the characterization. tbh, ive always hope an adaption movie to video games i like to be an alternative version in term of what happens externally to the characters, so that's where my critics about sully in the movie came from. and for braddock's dull character/motivation, plus the twist, it feels like a cheap copy of uncharted 1 villains' plot twist. at least they gave atoq navarro a different and more sinister motivation on why he betrayed roman (until this day i couldnt remember his full name lmao). gladly they made antonio banderas' motivation into for his name or personal glory, like what they did with rafe in uncharted 4, and made the antanogist side more interesting. so banderas' character and braddock are like an opposite different characters with roman and navarro.
