  1. Stuff received for free has no value. When I got $5 for my birthday (as a kid) I bought candy bars for all my friends! When I spent 2 hours mowing a lawn and pulling weeds in 95 degree weather I AGONIZED over spending ANY of it because I worked so hard to get it.
