  1. AT&T had a similar building in downtown Worcester, MA when I was in college there in the early '90s. (I assume the building is still there, but I don't know who owns it nowadays.) Huge, windowless, sinister, out of place with everything around it. In honor of the company's logo at the time, we all called it the Death Star.

  2. Huh, wow. There's a tower very like the one shown at 2:42 on Hillside Avenue in Bangor, Maine that I've idly wondered about since I first noticed it as a little kid in the mid-'70s. I've always kind of tacitly assumed it had something to do with a nearby radio station, but a look on Google Street View shows that the building it stands next to does, in fact, belong to AT&T. I'm no expert, but it doesn't look to me like they're using the tower for any more modern antennae today, which makes me wonder if they're just keeping it there as a local landmark. Either way, lifelong mystery unexpectedly solved by a YouTuber thousands of miles away. :)
