I had an M2 carbine magazine (genuine GI surplus, even, nothing as crackpot as this thing) do this one time, at a commercial indoor range. That was embarrassing. The range master had to make everyone clear and stand by the wall while he went out into the death zone to retrieve my magazine follower for me. He was nice about it, though. Even picked up the seven unfired rounds it vomited onto the floor at the same time. Also, I love the casual "We can use this RPK!" Just like on a cooking show. Here's one I've prepared earlier. :)
