  3. By saving the aristocracy? What? Our economy depends on our financial system being stable. If it collapses, our economy goes with it, especially since 99% of Americans have their money in these institutions.

  4. You could always point to the FDIC and say that the average American is protected from a bank failure. That's the reason we haven't had a bank run since the 1930's.
