  7. It does seem an odd antenna if not a little RF dangerous. However back in the early 80's we had mag mounts on biscuit tins in our bedrooms and still got contacts. 🙂

  14. Glad to hear your doing well. I see you banging out video's, keep it up.. Its a bit like the electric car V petrol. Electric cars dont rev or sound like a good V6 or V8 but the younger gen seems not to worry and just love Tesla. Young people love Zello. I think products like the N60 at least try and emulate a radio. Its a step closer to proper radio than using your phone.

  21. Yes i agree with Parademic. Over the past 12 months i have prob got around 12 people back on the air using CB radio's after watching Fredintheshed1. From that 12 (that i know of) 4 are now taking a foundation course. Now that is after say 20 video's which take hours of time each. Network radio is attracting 100's of people on their phones as its free. If only a small percentage end up buying a radio like Lewis has demo in this video and out of that if some move on to HAM its prob still more than i could attract in 10 years.

  30. I googled it. Its the 4th tallest free standing structure in Europe. Apparently this is the third tower at the site and the 2nd one collapsed.  This one was built in 1971 so its been up a fair while.

  47. Great video Lewis. Firstly impressive performance from inside the car. Glad to hear the RX meter works as the older UV5R just gave a full signal all the time it received. Looking good in front of the camera, mind you ive seen your profile on FB. Keep them coming buddy your channel is growing well.
