@SillyhAsH in this specific case I talk about Russia. The last 30 years of Europe I would call it the age of naivety (I'm trying to be nice). Helping China to raise, helping Russia to survive, allowing USA to take decisions for us which should never be taken by a foreign power, etc ...

@SillyhAsH the path yes, the policies not! Nobody stated in the Treaty of Versailles or Paris or Rome that we will have to fill up the pockets of Russian oligarchs in the naive (to not say stupid) hope that Russia will eventually turn around and become our 'friend'

@SillyhAsH because the policies changed with every government that changed in the European powers. We have the latest example, when merkel government of appeasers left the new government looks a lot less interested in kissing autocrats arses.
