I had a contract in UAE for 2 years and I'm white, but unfortunately woman (and opinionated). Getting close to a year in my contract the GM called for a meeting of all departments managers. He had a stupid tirade how we are all useless because we didn't maximise the profit... I had something to say about that and he had the guts to shout at me to "speak when I'm spoken to". He got my resignation in his face in less than 90 seconds. UAE is just an open air prison if you are not the emir and his male part of the family
