@CarstenBachmeyerHealth the health test didn't bother me. The fact that you can go straight to prison for having a boyfriend is a huge problem especially if you live there long term. The fact that if you are raped and report it to the police you'll go to prison asap for "sex outside the marriage"... So many reasons to never go there ... Ever...

Dubai is an open air prison. I worked there for a year. You need police permit to be able to buy alcohol from the 2 shops that sell alcohol in Dubai

@CarstenBachmeyerHealth I understand what you are saying. The results of the health test can be twisted against some people or used to punish the outliers... I personally wasn't scared about that. BUT, as a single, white, professional woman the way those people treated me ... NEVER AGAIN! Not even in a short holiday, no chance I'll ever step foot there.
