I received this kind of question/pressure from my family, even from the extended family, since my early 20's to my early 40's and the last 5 years because they drove me mad my answer was "when I'll be a millionaire, you want to chip in?" Eventually my family stopped asking and shaming me for refusing to bring a child into this world.

The daughter and son were not" Nobody wants to be estranged of their closest family on this planet without a very good reason. You have no idea how that mother treated her children knowing that they are too small and vulnerable and have no place to go while they were small and how she treated her neighbours in the years when she was old and vulnerable and needed them. Most humans treat others depending on their needs at that point in life, I have a feeling that she abused emotionally her children because she was the strongest in that relationship and treated her neighbours with respect because she was at her the weakest moment in her old age and needed them. Anyway your opinion or my opinion worth jack💩. None of our opinions will change that woman life.
