  1. If Ukraine lose this war invading Moldova will be a walk in the park. Few factors why: 1. Romania offered citizenship for a period to a lot Moldovans. The young, smart, with European dreams and values took that, they became EU citizens and now the best of Moldova are living and working wherever they want in Europe. Even Maia Sandu, the president of Moldova has Romanian citizenship. She used it to study at some prestigious European University. 2. Back in Moldova a big percentage of the population that is still there is, how should I put it politely, the leftovers. Uneducated, with societal issues (read drinking heavily). Those people were left behind and they don't feel appreciated by anyone else since the KGB era when some of them we're appreciated as rats. 3. When Stalin carved up Moldova from Romania body he decided that Moldova will never have exit to the sea, keep them forever poor! 4. Being such a poor country they couldn't invest in any serious way in defense. The whole Moldovan army has 6.500 soldiers, poorly equipped, poorly trained... Some kind of nightmare stuff. I'm Romanian. I'm worried for Moldova for the last 3 decades.

  2.  @juniorjames7076  yes, like Romania Moldova has a Turkish minority since the ottoman empire was trying to conquer us. We live in peace with many minorities

  4.  @stevenwilson5556  because the democratic governments are helping but Russia is buying politicians straight up. If EU give them 100 Mln euros and ask to see the money invested but Russia give 100 Mln that goes straight to 10 influential politicians pockets guess in which direction Moldova will be pushed? For example Yanuckovich, the ex president of Ukraine received 3 bln dollars from Putin to not sign the trade deal with EU

  7.  @bighands69  you can't throw resources at a 6.500 army against a 1.000.000 and fix the systemic issues of decades. If that would work the Russians would do it for their army right now. Plus a big minority of Moldovans are still dreaming at their big daddy that gave them cheap oil and cheap gas. Their poverty works against them.
