  3. small creatures can actually handle falls much better than larger ones. If you dropped an ant from the empire state building, it would hit the ground and immediately skitter on like nothing happened. If you drop a small mouse from that height, it would be stunned for a moment, and then wander off just like the ant. If a human jumps from that height, they would be a red splatter on the sidewalk. if an elephant were dropped from that height, it would leave a crater.a wolf spider, even a large one like that, would be just fine falling a few feet onto the ground

  4. It's actually pretty easy to hand catch wolf spiders. Only issue is with some of the smaller ones, especially the males, the side of your hand may look more like a wall than a hill to climb and that might spook them
