I almost spat out my croissant when I read this: "all we’re doing is putting lipstick on a pig and parading it around like it’s a beauty queen. The rest of the world sees through it, even if we don’t" 🤣

@ervie60 "dipped in a paint bucket.... done" to describe the paint job was my laugh out loud moment 🤣

Could you surmise your essay into 100 words or less? Thanks . . .
6
I bet you never stepped out of the USA before ha ha

Scania in both of couse.
5
Like something knocked up in a shed in Pakistan from a repurposed old Nissan-Diesel chassis then dipped in a vat of red paint 🤣😂
5
Hard at work producing sub-par products which are then dipped in a vat of red paint after final chassis assembly 🤣🤣🤣
5
Correction: a "real sub-par truck" which is then dipped in a vat of red paint after final chassis assembly 🤣🤣🤣

Is this some sort of trick question? The more poignant question would be which one would you rather spend your full duty hours of the day in and be less fatigued at the end . . .
4
@f5tornadeau You need to grow up and get a passport . . .
4
Awww bless your little sheltered heart . . .
4
Becaue they think it means that you're a "real man" when you can double de clutch and shift your 16 gears with 2 gear levers ha ha ha! What a circus of clowns.
4
Better options available now. The word has moved on to driveline retarders now, it's not 1984 anymore . . .
4
Question: would the longer wheelbase that Bruce specified not make for a more stable truck while driving 120 to 130 km/h on the open road? Euro trucks are limited to 90 km/h and drive shorter distances sothat might explain some of these design choices.
4
This is not 1984 any more old man. Do try to keep up. Technology in vehicle construction and safety equipment seems to have left you behind . . .
4
Correct, its the same.
3
There is a reason that dinosaurs (and as will traditional american brands) died out: They failed to adapt . . .
3
@chantelrhine8965 Nobody who knows better wants to sit in a 50 year old truck for a full duty hours day . . .
3
Nice to read a comment on here from someone who actually knows what they are talking about. Thanks for taking the time to write all that, it was a pleasure to read.

It is so difficult to be completely clueless in 2024 but somehow you have managed. What is your secret?
3
@b-swede5971 That was savage 🤣
2
It's 2025 buddy, get new tag line. This is not your grand dad's old truck. You know this and I know this. Stop the bull shittin . . .
2
@jarrodschobert9763 It's quite a feat to pack so much gibberish into a single paragraph but by jolly! You actually did it!
2
@Sc4321-k5c The only choice!
2
You need to read a book . . .
2
🤣🤡
2
It's not 1984 anymore buddy. Technology has moved on since you started driving trucks . . .
2
Not to mention the same set of rear lights (or even just a single unit!) are used for position (park) brake AND indicator on top of being single colour (red).
2
Scania is Swedish so you have no problems with it is that correct? Or did you genuinly not know the difference? . . .
2
The Scania in this video hauls more (higher GVWR and GCWR) than the Peterbilt . . .
2
A Ford model T could still do it's task of transporting 4 people from A to B . . .
2
The more poignant question would have been which one would you rather spend your full duty hours of the day in and be less fatigued at the end . . .
1
It does not. He said so himself.
1

1

1

1
So how do 40ft shipping ontainers get around on your roads?
1
@ you were the one that said Scania would ‘have a rough time with overpasses in the south’.
1
