Oh no these separatists who had before been using hunting rifles at most are now somehow using t-72s and jet planes. How mysterious

@SaturatedCat eus grip how ? EU isn't a country which can occupy someone

@SaturatedCat Spain had the right to territorial integrity . Also Catalonia isn't a country . Its a part of Spain both by law and de facto . Not to mention you can't just leave a country . Its a complicated process which takes years . Bypassing that process is ilegal

@SaturatedCat and most people in Catalonia want to be a part of Spain

@SaturatedCat right to self determination isn't stopped by the obligation to get permission form the government leave . Every country has such laws . If the Catalans go through those laws only then would they have the right independence . Without these separation would be an act of rebellion .

@SaturatedCat keep people in like a prison? If that you mean disallowing acts of rebellion on its territory and making the separatist side negotiate then yes . But following your logic there are no democracies as every country has those laws

@frankrenda2519 stopping trade is a right . Invasions aren't . Moldova wouldn't loose people because they disobey the eu but they would if it was Russia
1
@frankrenda2519 trading is a privilege . I have no obligation to trade with someone . Security is a right . I have no right to use force on someone

@SaturatedCat ghandi used economic means to pressure the British to free India and didn't go agaii the British constitution . Gorge Washington did that in 1774 . Different time . Succession without permission is an act of rebellion in every country . Be it Spain Russia USA Norway Vietnam India ect

@SaturatedCat if Spain amends it constitution and gives them the right then there is a legal way Scotland negotiates for independence for years with UK government and the referendum was done with governmental permission . Very different situation
1
@SaturatedCat and other countries have those laws . Its ilegal to change the territories of a country without its permission

@SaturatedCat ghnadi was imprisoned wrongly but seccesion was done legally via economic means . India had the UK's permission
