Ukraine has shown that it has the capacity to redeploy units (like they did when war begun) I think they could try and slow down the russians and once things are close to getting out of control just leave the area . In this way yeah technically they would've lost the battle but it would've been phyric for Russia . Iirc the Germans did something similar after d day in France
25
After what they did in bucha ? Noble my ass
17
@BIGDADDUI so you're saying Ukraine managed to stage an entire massacre in 18 hours ? The bodies were filmed by hundreds of news stations .
16
@bryanromero8804 that's a very bad idea .
15
@DeadWayfes you're assuming Ukrainians don't have these. Maybe they won't be the best but they have at least some capacity to operate these weapons. About the fuel and logistics . This isn't like Iraq . Russia doesn't have the technical capacity to stop Ukrainian logistics to a necessary scale . I mean Russia has serious problems with night vision so chance of anything happening to go down significantly if deliver at night . Even then it's not like they've 24/7 air strikes on supply convoys . The troops in donbass have been at risk of encirclement for 2 months by now . If things go way too south the Ukrainians probably already have a plan
10
@harambe7430 heaviest piece of weaponry Ukraine has gotten so far has been the m270 and like 10 of those . If NATO went into Ukraine gloves off they'd needed 120k troops and 6 weeks max to drive onto kerch and deoccupy everything
8
Sure "civilian milita" , no russians here
7
@TeleologicalConsistency doesn't mean it will either .
7
@kurniawanadiperdana6815 Moldova and Georgia were neutrual before getting attacked. Ukraine only wanted nato because Russia attacked .
6
Do you think France couldn't shoot back ?
6
Bit of both . Corruption in Russia is a huge issue but you can't really say things with certainty
6
@Wise Villager or the conversion of Moskva into a submarine
6
@justamoroccandude2588 the soviets took over Afghanistan in like week . They were trying to do the same by quickly decapitating Ukraine in Kyiv . Even like RT posted an article on February 26 which said Russia had won but then it was quickly taken down.
5
@TeleologicalConsistency so western actions worked . Russia now is poorer than it was in February
5
@vlad_47 10 months for 1 city and losing half your force in the process isn't a great victory. Sure if you launch 50 attacks 1 is bound to be successful but that's not really a display of proficiency
5
A war with nato would involve a technologicaly advanced air force and a lot more heavy equipment like himars mlrs . Currently Russia has resorted to trying to drown the enemie in shelling . Against Ukraine which doesn't have a great air force that would work but against nato ? Himars has been targeting russian depos with reasonable success , imagine what a squadron of f-35s would do .
5
@BIGDADDUI the mayor of bucha . The mayor of bucha gave an interview on march 28th in which he complained about atrocities . Source :wiki . First reports were made in the morning of April 1st . Ukrainians took the city on march 31st
5
@alexduffy7925 there were 2 cases of the corpses "moving" moving. One was because there was spot on the window and it looked like a hand and the other was caused by distortion
5
@ShahjahanMasood idk if you could blame this war on the west . It's just as likely that without the west Russia would've attacked Ukraine anyway. Only difference would be Ukrainian strength
4
@MrGolov-te5eb if you think Russia didn't loose thousands of men in Kharkiv and Kherson you're a fool
4
They do make it to the front tho . Polish supplied tanks did and so did the air defences. I doubt Russia has the capability to stop the lend lease.
4
Yes but then again . It's better to have than to not
4
So far only Hungary has accepted that deal .
4
@TeleologicalConsistency at a discount which will hurt russian profits . India bought it at a discount . Also with the oil depos blowing up left and right, how likely is it for Russia to lessen the economic strike
4
@TeleologicalConsistency except for the fact that majority of nato states are expected to grow from 1-5% in terms of their economy while Russia is expected to shrink 10% .
4
@bigboi7817 I mean Russia couldn't defend Belgorod and snake island from the Ukrainian air force . What hope does it have of stopping a western air force
4
@josevictorionunez9312 there is only so far a good tank can get you if you're incompetent.
4
@davidgmillsatty1900 a) neither has Russia destroyed a 40 km convoy . B) you don't send your best troops on a deception mission
4
@tammykennedy4165 yeah and the Moskva didn't sink
3
@Rimmer7 the shovels meme is something that UK intelligence said and was misinterpreted. It was talking about engagements which involved shovels and small arms not just that the Russians are using shovels
3
People were saying the exact same thing before snake island got bombed . How do we know that the bayraktars got shot down and it's not just another missiles shortage. Israelis in Syria blew up Russian aa without much problems .
3
@bilic8094 problem is with accuracy . Also a lot of the times you wouldn't know where exactly the enemie is
3
@upfulsoul826 they could . The problem was Russia intervined and then a there were a serious of forced agreements
3
I don't like your point about the airforce since if we look at Russia Ukraine neithe side really has the capacity to sead very well . Effectively making cas and bombing not that great . Europe would have much more advanced jets and bombers which actually give them the possibility of getting air superiority which would really be very decisive
3
@oskargrabnar2869 you trust the DNR
3
@hordynighthawk325 And airforces are constantly improving no army is purely an airforce but getting air superiority wins wars . Russian artillery tactics wouldn't work against the west .
3
@davidgmillsatty1900 a) so which big arrow are you talking about B) deception , fake movement . An actual feint would be sending units to the north but not actually attacking to keep the Ukrainian army busy without taking casualties. Also you don't use your best units . Which feint in history has been like the Kiev "feint"
3
Didn't the USA say that they were going to train Ukrainians in the us . For all we know this war could last for a very long time
3
@ZacharyDarkes ahh the worst mix a froggy and an igloo dweller
3
Intialy russian support and leadership (credit were credit is due girkin seems competent) . In 2014 Ukrainian army was fighting basically armoured battalions with light infantry . Currently is the russian artillery . DPR and LPR are often under equiped . Without russian backing they would've been destroyed in 2014 . Almost were in the begining.
3
Depends on the system . And it's not like you're training fresh guys . You're training combat experienced veterans
3
Straight from the words of RT in Kherson
2
@GGGG-jn7ib prigozhin said 20k , Ukraine on the entire Bakhmut front had like 30k men in total so
2
@Rimmer7 Ukraine wasn't armed with the best of the western weapons
2
@daseinss3126 and 10k were Wagner core , imagine if it was 10k VDV
2
@Rimmer7 more blame the people. Majority of people aren't interested in sitting down and watching a 5 hour video about the logistical complexities of supplying pork to forntline troops , so everything gets dumbed down and simplified to a point where it becomes so vague that anyone can interpret it in many ways
2
@Mkvine 50 now. Who knows just like the deliveries of javelins grew maybe the training will too
2
@MrGolov-te5eb cope
2
@trl2828 Yom Kippur war , 6 day war , Iran Iraq war , houthi offensives , 1994 chechnya war , Falklands war , etc all featured successful offensive operations without air superiority
2
@henthust9784 at what pace ?
