No it would be seen as illegal and condemned by nato but it wouldn't be an attack on nato

Abkhazian was an official language by georgian law at that time and is too this day and ossetian minorities do have the right learn ossetian as a mother tongue . The main reason imo was that durring the collapse of the ussr period georgians wanted to be independent mainly on the basis of its history (kingdom of georgia , Iberia , 1918 republic ) while ethnic ossetian and abkhazian groups had no attachment to the history so they never had any real insensitive to support an independent georgia so they wanted to stay a part of the USSR .

Btw state owned doesn't necessarily mean more efficient also it's not like Europeans are pushovers for example take the Falklands war or the Nigerian ambush

The eu spends 240 billion on defence while Russia spends 60 billion unless there is some sort of a miracle there is no way Russia will have the same firepower that the eu will . About the hypersonic missiles . They wouldn't be able to turn a ride of a war unless it's nuclear . Not to mention they're expensive
