Neither do you understand Russians very well , they're incredibly prideful and will never admit a shortcoming. their industry is booming on paper , realistically they're so far behind it's going to take them 40 years to catch up to where we are now

@paijokotak6996 I've read a lot , Deschytsia on March 29th openly announced Ukraine wouldn't join NATO , Yanukovich had been out for a month by then. Russia took Crimea on March 21st , the Donbass war began on the 12th of April. It wasn't until August 29th Yatsenyuk announced Ukraine would move towards NATO, keep in mind by July the separatists had been using heavy artillery regularly and it's not that hard to figure out where they got that from. It wasn't until December 23rd that the Rada actually removed Ukraine's non-aligned status from the constitution. This was after like 9 months of war , where it was pretty clear Russia was supporting the separatists. I have probably read more than you have

@felixlaupc It is your problem. Also Russia's current inflation rate is 7.4% while for Germany it is 2.9%. Russians are suffering too , is that not good enough for you ? People in Russia skip meals too and more than we do

realistically point number 1 is the only thing keeping Russia afloat , food exports are a small part of the economy and the rest are less relevant. what do you use that's Russian made ?

@enixword2637 except basically every sector of their economy aside from oil shrunk , their growth is because of oil. Automotive industry is down 50% , arms exports down by 30% . If it took the west 50 years to build such industries , doubt Russia could replace them in 2

@Hatunrumioc USA is the largest producer of Titanium and after the USA there is China , then Germany and then Russia. The total exports of Titanium By Russia are less than 1 Billion , tbh neither here nor there

@SergBiz-si4on neither are shelves empty in the west. For some people it's just too expensive, considering the low salaries and in lots of cities the high rent , there are a lot of Russians who skip meals

Russia has a higher crime rate than the USA , higher aids rate by a factor of 3 , 12% of the population lives below the poverty line which higher than America , twice the inflation rate of the USA , higher unemployment than the USA and around 1/6th the average salary

 @prestonyoung3807 so far Russia has lost 90k men (mediazona estimate), 2300 tanks (war spotting) , 9 ships , 160 planes , 4000 ifvs and 7 generals. NATO on the other hand hasn't showed up yet

@Ivan-wp1ne1 in 2008 , Ukraine was supposed to get a membership action plan which was blocked by Germany and France. Ukraine until December 23rd of 2014 was obligated by its own constitution to be a non-aligned country. If you were Ukrainian and you saw Russia take Crimea and start the war in the Donbass would you not want want to join NATO to keep Russia in check

@Ivan-wp1ne1 and ? Cooperation poses no threat to Russia. Even Serbia has joint training exercises with NATO and they wouldn't join NATO if the world was ending Putin is a former KGB agent. He was trained for years to lie and manipulate professionally. That interview isn't some holy grail
