  1. In most of the developed countries the governments provide cash to support people who have no income from work or business. In addition to the regular welfare payments there are also grants to compensate for natural disasters, high cost of living, such as electricity prices etc. During covid lockdowns in many countries people were paid fixed amounts or proportion of their lost salaries or wages, in the many thousands of dollars in total. That effectively printing of money has contributed to high inflation afterwards.
