  1. Hydrogen COULD be produced by electrolysis, but it is not (with the exception of Iceland). Hydrogen is a fossil fuel, putting the "hydro" in hydrocarbon. Hydrogen is a by product of the manufacture of gasoline and diesel. Hydrogen keeps on fossil fuels.
