  1. "It" does NOT "beg the question." Begging the question is a fallacy of logic, as is Straw Man or Slippery Slope. It is the fallacy of assuming the conclusion to argue for the conclusion, e.g., "Chocolate ice cream is the best flavor because chocolate is the best flavor." Also, many of the flourishes and details found on Victorian homes were machine manufactured and ordered from a catalog.
