  1. Not to be rude, but Amtrak does not service San Francisco by train. It does run a bus from San Francisco to Emeryville, which is where you clearly departed from. I do think the route you road in this video is one of the most beautiful in the world. "Sacramento and other small towns"? Sacramento has a half million people in it and that is the City alone.If the side-to-side rocking motion bothers you, sit in the lower level, it is far less down there.
