  1. The truth why modern music is awful: It isn't. Besides from differing tastes and music that is here called "awful" being loved by many people (who have their right to have their opinion): If you don't like modern mainstream music, the best advise is: Don't be lazy. There is a lot of beautiful "old school style" music, if you look beyond the mainstream titles you find in the hitlists. A bit easier to find, there are many movie soundtracks and scores that are surprisingly close to good old classical compositions, the peak of beautiful music. To all those people in the comments: Stop your whining about the good old times being lost forever. Instead, look for great non-mainstream music and make it popular. (And for those who didn't get it until now, just to avoid confusion: I'm NOT one of those who love modern mainstream music. I just say they have the right to enjoy their choice of music.)

  3. And even those can't compare to classical composers like Beethoven, Smetana or Chopin, when we talk about creativity and beauty of their music. Just my opinion.
