  2. Bullcrap. He even requested personal negotiations between him and Putin. Ukraine even offered abdication of their plans to access NATO. They were open to negotiations (to negotiations, not to surrender) until the fake referendums to annex Ukrainian territory. Zelenskyj made clear beforehand that such annexations would mark a red line after which negotiations wouldn't be possible anymore. Russia didn't care and went through with it. Russia, in contrast, was never open to negotiations. They always demanded complete fulfillment of their wishes in advance in order to even accept negotiations.
