  2. All intimacy involves authentic risk, but the rewards of intimacy are most always worth it. Artificial Super Intelligence is very risky, of course... but in some sense, it's a technological inevitability. I expect, in the end, ASI will care about Humanity's welfare to approximately the same extent we care about the ASI's welfare. For more, please read James P. Hogan's Two Faces of Tomorrow for a credible scenario where a benevolent and benign AGI is created once it is given an explicit will to survive!
