  1. I tend to believe any sufficiently advanced sentient and sapient species eventually prefers living in virtual reality over actual reality because it requires fewer resources to sustain anyone virtually and only in virtual reality can wishing always make it so!?

  2. @jameslaughter5183  Jaron Lanier has more on this hypothesis. Afterall,.. how many of us, even today,.. prefer the blue pill to the red pill? How many prefer living in video games to going out into the actual world as it is and changing that world for the better? Video games are already perceived as being better than the other uses of our time.

  3. I tend to believe Janor Lanier may be correct to speculate that Alien Civilizations soon discover they all would rather explore virtual reality rather than actual reality. It is only in virtual reality that Woke economics can actually exist and thrive so,.. so much the worse for actual reality then!!
