  1. As a lifelong Libertarian, I still believe drug addiction should be treated medically and not make criminals out of addicts!? It is better to buy illicit drugs in pharmacies at the price of aspirin than at the inflated prices criminals charge on the street. Addicts need help, and not to be threatened with jail.

  3. @chas.5009  I would hardly call getting an addict off drugs by means of offering medical help as coddling? Getting away from addiction to pain medication is never going to be fun or easy.

  4. @feoxorus  Even as a Libertarian, I object to chronic public intoxication: no, the public should not have to tolerate anyone's bad behavior in public places.
