  1. If that's the case then I'm wondering how China's doing then since they have disproportionately more men than women. I would think that women are much more valued over there versus, say, Japan or Korea due to the shortage.

  2.  @limitlesssky3050  Interesting, that is not what I've heard. Since China has that 1 child policy put in place parents have the option of terminating a certain sex that they wouldn't prefer. And more often than not, unfortunately, it ends up being girls who are about to be born. But correct me if I'm wrong if there has been an update to this policy. Otherwise, this is something that has been going on in China for the last several decades. And I'd be surprised if you didn't know this.

  4. I'm single, 41, never been married nor in a serious relationship. Just glad that I live somewhere where I'm not being pressured to get married and have children even by my parents. I've no plans to ever get married or to be in a serious relationship with someone and feel that I would be much happier that way. So I don't think I'd be very happy living in an east Asian country where I'd be under constant pressure to get married.
